Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi Transit to Samburu National Reserve & Afternoon Safari
Our Driver Guide arrives at your Nairobi preffered location or hotel at 06:00 AM for early loading. Drive north through the fertile agricultural highlands of Central Kenya, catching views of Mount Kenya before descending into the semi-arid northern plains. Arrive at your Samburu lodge in time for check-in and a lunch. At 04:00 PM, depart for your first afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Ng'iro River. Track the unique Samburu Special Five—Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, and the Somali ostrich—before returning to the camp at sunset for dinner around the open campfire.
Day 2: Buffalo Springs Exploration, Natural Springs & Cultural Connection
Wake up early for an early morning breakfast then head out for a safari inside Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Focus your tracking around the crystalline natural springs that bubble up through the volcanic rock, attracting thirsty herds of elephants, lions, and leopards. Enjoy an afternoon game drive combined with an optional community-led visit to a traditional Samburu village to experience their world-renowned beadwork, music, and daily life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Return Road Trip to Nairobi
Enjoy a hearty breakfast, pack your bags, and complete your checkout by 11:00 AM. Board your vehicle for the return road trip to Nairobi, arriving in the capital on time for drop-off.
