The Maasai Mara National Reserve, often referred to as the Masai Mara, is a large game reserve in Narok, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Named in honor of the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, it is renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African elephants. The reserve also hosts the annual Great Migration, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, where over a million wildebeest and other animals traverse its plains in a breathtaking spectacle
Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Pick up from the hotel at 0700Hrs, then drive to Maasai Mara through the Great Rift Valley and Narok Town.
You will arrive in time for lunch. Check in at your camp/ lodge and have lunch. Afterwards, relax and perhaps a dip in the pool or absorb the surroundings of the camp before setting off for an afternoon game drive till sunset. Return to the camp/ lodge for an evening around the campfire then dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara Reserve
Rise early morning breakfast at our restaurant. Depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive with our professional driver-guide.
Optional visit to a Maasai village (extra USD 20 per person) and learn about the Maasai Culture. An early balloon safari can also be organized at an extra cost after which you proceed with the normal program.
Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Breakfast, check out and depart for Nairobi at 8 a.m.. You will arrive at around 2 p.m. and our driver will drop you at your hotel/airport.
