Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo (Salt Lick)

• Morning

  • 6:00 AM: Arrive at Nairobi SGR Terminus (Syokimau)

  • 8:00 AM: Depart on the Madaraka Express Train to Voi (around 4.5 hrs)

  • 12:30 PM: Arrive at Voi Station, meet your safari driver/guide

  • Transfer to Salt Lick Safari Lodge (~1.5 hr drive, with game drive en route through Taita Hills Sanctuary)

• Afternoon

  • Check-in and enjoy lunch at the lodge

  • Leisure time to relax and enjoy the lodge's elevated views over the waterholes

• Evening

  • 4:00 PM: Evening game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

  • Return for dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Day 2: Full Day at Salt Lick

• Morning

  • Early morning game drive (~6:30 AM)

  • Return for breakfast at the lodge

• Day Options

  • Mid-morning nature walk (if offered)

  • Visit nearby Lumo Community Sanctuary (optional)

  • Relax at the lodge or watch wildlife from the terraces

• Evening

  • 4:00 PM: Another game drive or sunset drive

  • Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 3: Salt Lick – Nairobi

• Morning

  • Early breakfast

  • Check-out and enjoy a short game drive en route to Voi

• Return Train

  • 12:00 PM: Board the SGR train back to Nairobi

  • 4:30 PM: Arrive at Nairobi Terminus
